27th los Premios Goya / Goya Awards

The Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España announced the winners of the Goya Awards at its Gala on 17 February 2013.

The award for Best Makeup and/or Hairstyling / Mejor maquillaje y/o peluquería went:
Blancanieves
Sylvie Imbert & Fermín Galán.

The award for Best Special Effects / Mejor Efectos Especiales went to:
The Impossible
Pau Costa & Félix Bergés.

Note: the ceremony is on-going at the time of posting, and not all the winners have yet been announced.

Update: Blancanieves was the big winner of the night, taking ten awards including Best Film.

25th Premios Goya: the winners

It was a busy night for film awards last night: the BAFTAs and the Goyas.

The Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España announced the winners of the 25th Premios Goya (Goya Awards).

The winners for Best Makeup & Hair / Mejor maquillaje y/o peluquería are:
Balada triste de trompeta
José Quetglas, Pedro Rodríguez ‘Pedrati’ & Nieves Sánchez Torres.

The winners for Best Special Effects / Mejores efectos especiales are:
Balada triste de trompeta
Reyes Abades & Ferrán Piquer.

The big winner of the night was Pa Negre which took almost all the major awards: Best Film; Best Director; Best Actress; Best Supporting Actress; Best New Actor; Best New Actress; Best Adapted Screenplay; Best Cinematography; Best Art Direction.

And The King’s Speech managed to pick up yet another award: Best European Film.
