RTS Craft & Design Awards 2008/2009: the winners

Last night the Royal Television Society announced the winners of this year’s Craft & Design Awards.

The nominees in the Makeup Design categories are:

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television has announced the winners of the 24th Annual Gemini Awards, recognising the year’s best in Canadian English-language television.

The winners of the Gemini for Best Achievement in Makeup are:

Les 24e Prix Gemeaux 2009: the winners

Les Prix Gemeaux celebrates excellence in French-language Canadian television production; the winners for this years awards were announced on 20 September.

56th National Film Awards (India): Best Makeup

The National Film Awards is the most prominent film award ceremony in India, and the country’s oldest alongside the Filmfare Awards. Established in 1954, it has been run by the Indian government’s Directorate of Film Festivals since 1973. The National Film Awards select the best of Indian cinema overall and particularly focus on contributions to the furthering of Indian art and culture, whereas the Filmfare Awards are presented in separate categories for the best films in each region and language.

A Golden Lotus Award (Swarna Kamal) is awarded for: Best Film; Best Direction; Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment; Best Children’s Film. A Silver Lotus Award (Rajat Kamal) is awarded in all other feature film categories. Recently a Silver Lotus for Best Makeup Artist was introduced.

The 55th Awards were announced yesterday.

IIFA Awards 2009: the winners

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) announced the winners of its 2009 awards in June in Macau.
