35th Saturn Awards: the winners

On 25 June 2009 the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films announced the winners of the 35th Annual Saturn Awards.

The winner for Best Makeup was:
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Greg Cannom.

34th Saturn Awards: the winners

Naomie Harris as Tia Dalma The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films announced the winners of the 34th Annual Saturn Awards on 24 June 2008.

The winners for Best Makeup were:
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End
Ve Neill & Martin Samuel.

The big winners were Enchanted (three awards including Best Fantasy Film and Best Actress) and Lost (four awards, including Best Network Television Series and Best Actor on Television). Sweeney Todd, Ratatouille, and 300 each won two Saturn Awards, including Best Film in their categories.

34th Saturn Awards: the nominees

33rd Annual Saturn Awards: the winners

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films have announced the winners of the 33rd Annual Saturn Awards on 10 May. The winner for Best Makeup is:
Slither
Todd Masters.

The 79th Oscars

David Marti & Montse Ribé with their OscarsThe 79th Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2006 were presented on 25 February 2007. The winners for Best Makeup were:
Pan’s Labyrinth
David Marti & Montse Ribé.

Superb makeups in a great movie: congratulations to David and Montse of DDT Efectos Especiales.

Besides the Oscar, Pan’s Labyrinth has now won Goyas for Best Makeup & Hairdressing (José Quetglas & Blanca Sánchez) and Best Special Effects (David Martí, Montse Ribe, Reyes Abades, Everett Burrell, Edward Irastorza & Emilio Ruiz); won the BAFTA for Best Makeup & Hairdressing (José Quetglas & Blanca Sánchez); and is nominated for the Saturn for Best Makeup (David Marti & Montse Ribé).

Congratulations also to Martin Scorsese on finally being awarded one of the Oscars for Best Director which he has so richly deserved. (source: oscars.org)
