BAFTA Cymru announced the winners of the 16th Annual BAFTA Cymru Awards last night. The winners for Best Makeup are:
Doctor Who: ‘The Girl In the Fireplace’
Sheelagh Wells & Neill Gorton.

Overall, it was a very good night for the Doctor Who / Torchwood teams. Doctor Who won eight awards: Best Actor (David Tennant); Best Screenwriter (Russell T Davies); Best Director: Drama (Graeme Harper); Best Lighting Director: Not Camera; Best Editor; Best Original Music Soundtrack; Best Makeup; and Best Costume. Torchwood won four awards: Best Actress (Eve Myles); Best Drama Series ; Best Director of Photography: Drama; and Best Design.

BAFTA have just announced the winners of the Television Craft Awards.

The winner for Best Makeup & Hair Design is:
Jane Eyre
Anne ‘Nosh’ Oldham.

When I get images for themakeupgallery from makeup artists I try to use these as quickly as possible. Because of family illness I’m behind in using contributions received over the past few weeks.

I’m still managing to update the site because I’ve got a backlog of images and text ready to be used. But I’ve not had the time to build pages round new input.

So apologies to anyone who’s recently sent me images of their work without seeing them on the website; I will use them as soon as possible.

The 26th Hong Kong Film Awards were announced on 15th April 2007. The winner for Best Costume and Makeup Design is:
Curse of the Golden Flower (Man cheng jin dai huang jin jia)
Yee Chung-Man.

BAFTA have announced the nominations for the Television Craft Awards. The nominees for Best Makeup & Hair Design are:

The winners will be announced on 22 April.
